Vision’s oblique 360° imagery is based upon Pictometry™ technology, the leading imaging system used by government and commercial organizations throughout the world. Vision is the exclusive license holder of Pictometry™ technology covering the Middle East and North Africa.

Pictometry™ technology provides geo-referenced, aerial, oblique image libraries and related software. This unique patented technology collects multiple views of every location, buildings, and intersections from different directions. This visual technology is the best of both worlds. The system delivers what neither satellite, mapping, traditional aerial imagery or panoramic imagery from the ground can do. Namely it combines a complete overview with a very high level of detail of all features in the public environment. Moreover all visual assets can be measured quickly and easily.

Pictometry™ images are taken with five cameras simultaneously from an aircraft at a 40° angle. Those five digital cameras acquiring North, South, East, west and vertical images for every feature within the urban environment. The system includes vertical images looking straight down resulting in as many as 12 to 30 images of the same location.

After completion of a particular area or city all objects in this area can be viewed from multiple angels. Due to the high resolution all features like doorways, fences, windows, entrees, alleys and trees are revealed.

This Intelligent Imagery is used by government agencies including defence, homeland security, police, emergency services, municipalities and environmental bodies. Their processes are heavily related to the public environment and Pictometry technology brings the field inside.

Vision Middle East delivers a full-service solution, the Pictometry™ images are seamlessly integrated in all major GIS applications with the ability to measure, locate and overlay. For example Pictometry™ imagers are natively integrated in GIS products of ESRI, Intergraph and MapInfo.
